Nä Pua No'eau offers educational opportunities for students of Hawaiian ancestry in grades Kindergarten through 5th.
Half-day Super Enrichment Saturday programs through out the year are held at the University of Hawai'i campuses. Although the classes are entitled by discipline i.e. visual arts, language arts, science and math, Hawaiian language culture, arts & crafts, concepts are taught in an interdisciplinary manner. A team of teachers teach the respective classes.
The Summer Youth program is conducted early in the summer for approximately 100 students from all over the Big Island. There are a limited number of available openings per grade level. To confirm your invitation to participate, please return a completed Ho’omälamalama Summer Youth program packet as soon as possible or by May 29, 2009. Students will be accepted on a first-come, first-serve basis by grades until the spaces are filled.
A culminating Ho'olaule'a, or celebration, is planned for all students and their ‘ohana at the end of the Ho'omälamalama Summer program.
